A queue that is not moving says so
Every push has a status, an attempt count and the error; a queue that has stalled is a sentence on the screen, not a silence.
The quiet failure in every channel manager is the queue that stopped. Rates changed, the OTA never heard, and nobody knew until a guest paid last month's price. So the queue here is not blind.
What the screen says
- How many pushes are queued, sent, and failed, per hotel.
- The oldest thing waiting, and how long it has waited.
- For each failed push, the attempt count and the channel's own error text.
- A line that reads "not moving" when the oldest queued item is older than the interval — in words, on the screen the manager already looks at.
What happens by itself
A failed push is retried on a schedule; a push that keeps failing stops retrying and stays on the screen as failed with its reason, rather than hammering the channel for ever. A watchdog checks the pusher itself and says if the pusher is the thing that has stopped.
