Room blocks and closed dates
Right-click a room to block it, with a reason, a range and a name; close a date for the whole hotel; and the channels are told in the same minute.
A room with a broken AC, a floor being painted, a suite the owner wants kept — all are a block: from which night to which, why, and who said so. The room comes off sale on the chart, on the booking page and at every OTA, and comes back when the block ends.
From the chart
Right-click the room: book it, or block it. Blocking asks the reason and the nights and writes the person's name on the block; the chart shows it as a shaded band, and the room's story in housekeeping shows the same fact.
A hotel can close a date
A date can be closed for the whole hotel, or for a room type, or with a minimum stay or a closed-to-arrival — the same restrictions the channels understand, written once and pushed.
What is counted
A blocked room is not a free room. Availability on the chart, on the booking page, in the CRS and in the channel manager all read the same block, so the hotel never sells a room that is in pieces.
