Room move and upgrade
Move a stay to another room, or up a category, from the chart, with the reason and the person written on the move.
A guest asks for a quieter room, or the AC fails, or a better room is free and the hotel wants to give it. All three are a drag on the chart or a button on the card.
An upgrade is a decision with a name on it
Moving up a category is an upgrade: complimentary, or at the difference if the hotel says so, and either way the card records who decided and why. The guest's story shows the room they were sold and the room they were given.
From the chart
- Drag the bar to another room. If the destination is a different type, the system says so and asks once.
- The stay's history shows the move: from which room, to which, when, by whom.
- The channel manager is told, so an OTA that sold the old room is not left believing it is still occupied.
