The registration card
The GRC the guest signs, on the hotel's own paper, drawn from the booking and reprintable.
The registration card is the document the guest signs and the police may ask for. It is drawn from the booking — name, address, nationality, ID, arrival, departure, room, rate, company — and printed on the hotel's own letterhead with the hotel's own footer.
What is on it
- The guest and every accompanying guest.
- The identification recorded at check-in, with the number the desk typed.
- The plan, the rate, and how the stay is being paid for — by the guest, a company, or an OTA that has already collected.
- The signature line, and a print date so a reprint is visibly a reprint.
For a foreign guest
The Form C the hotel must file is raised from the same record, in the FRRO's format, so the passport and the arrival in India are written once.
Documents look like the hotel, not like us: the logo, the letterhead and the footer are the hotel's own, set once in hotel details.
