The confirmation, and the reply that reaches a person
A reservation tells the guest, on the hotel's letterhead, from an address whose replies reach the desk — and every email the hotel sends is on the log.
A booking taken anywhere — the desk, the page, a channel — can be confirmed by email in the hotel's own name. The mail says the stay, the plan, what it includes, the price, the cancellation policy and how to pay, and carries the hotel's logo and footer.
The reply reaches a person
A reply goes to the desk's shared address — or to the reservations person who took the booking, if that person has asked for their own. A guest who answers "can I arrive at eleven" is answered by a person, not by a bounce.
Every mail is on the log
What was sent, to whom, when, and whether it was delivered or bounced, is on the operations log with everything else. A guest who says they never got it is answered by reading.
Sending
Mail goes out through a sending service on a timer, from a verified sending domain, in the hotel's name with the hotel's reply address.
