The night audit
One press, or none: the day closes itself at the hour the hotel sets, posts every night, marks the no-shows, tells the channel, and says what it did.
The night audit is the hotel's day end: every in-house room is charged its night at the rate on the booking, with its slab; the arrivals that never came are marked no-show with the policy's retention; the day's numbers are written; the business date moves.
Before it runs
The screen lists what will happen — the rooms to be charged and at what, the arrivals to be no-showed and what each will be charged, the departures not yet checked out — so the person pressing the button sees the day before it is closed.
By itself
The audit runs on a timer once the hotel's day has ended, and has been rolling the live hotels' days every night since 2 September 2026. A hotel that prefers to press the button presses it first.
What it refuses
- A day that has not ended: the audit will not close a day before the hotel's midnight, whatever the clock on the server says.
- A charge the hotel cannot collect: a no-show with no guarantee and no money is marked, not billed.
- A second run of the same day.
Afterwards
The closed day is a statement that can be read back; the owner is sent one sheet; the ledger receives the day's journal; and if the day was closed on wrong facts, the administrator reverses the last audit and runs it again.
